Class descriptions
    All Levels
    All levels yoga is just that...for all levels.  Modifications are given for beginners, while more advanced
    students can go deeper.   Enjoy postures that will stretch, relax, and rejuvenate your mind, body and
    spirit!  Suitable for beginners-advanced.  

    Hot Yoga
    Immersing yourself in a hot yoga practice is said to release toxins, improve flexibility and range of motion,         
    increase the chances of weight loss, develop muscle tone, & build the immune system.  Proponents of the
    practice also believe that hot yoga exercise reduces the symptoms of certain chronic illnesses, such as
    thyroid disorders, arthritis and circulatory problems.  We will be doing a mix of flow and form for this class,
    with an   emphasis on holding the postures.  As always, you work where you are.   For sanitary purposes,
    please bring your own mat and towel with you for this class.  Please also be sure to wear
    comfortable clothing, and bring WATER!                             

    All Levels Vinyasa
    Vinyasa is a flowing form of yoga that links poses through breath.  It is based around the Sun Salutations
    which link poses to warm up the body.  Some poses are held to explore your breath, find your edge and
    increase your strength.  Each Thursday night the class will end with a restorative pose to help students find
    a moment of peace and relaxation in which to explore where their breath took them.  Suitable for
    beginners-advanced.

    Yoga Core  -NEW~
    Yoga core emphasizes poses that engage the core muscles (the area around your trunk and pelvis) to
    promote increased strength and balance. Class will consists of vinyasa poses as well as longer holding poses
    to help keep your core challenged!  Increased core strength will also help relieve back pain and improve your
    posture.   Additional benefits of a strong core:   Increased protection and "bracing" for your back,  great
    lean looking midsection, improves daily activities so your quality of life is easier and less prone to injury.   
    Appropriate for all levels.

    Restorative
    This class focuses on bringing your body and mind to a state of relaxation through supported poses
    that are still, restful, and nourishing. Blankets, straps, and blocks are commonly used.  Especially
    good for those recovering from illness, injury, or stress/depression related issues.  

    Beginners
    This is a class for those who have are just starting!  We will focus on proper alignment, simple stretches, and
    some Vinyasa.  This is a great class for someone who has a curiosity about yoga, but is not sure
    what it’s all about!                  

    Community Yoga
    All Levels.  The last Friday of every month from 6-7pm will be open to all within the community by donation.  
    Each month's class will focus on the needs of the Berlin community as well as surrounding towns.  This is a
    great opportunity to do something you can feel good about for yourself and for the people around you.  
    At some point in time all of us need help, and it feels good to know you are the one who can lend that hand...
    suggested donations will be posted on the site each month, as well as where the donations will be directed.  

    Tai Chi
    T'ai Chi is an ancient Oriental martial art that cultivates balance and harmony of body, mind, emotions and
    spirit.  It is a powerful healing tool that increases strength,  flexibility, balance and coordination,  while
    decreasing stress,  pain, and vulnerability to illness and disease.  With its soft, flowing, graceful movements,  
    T'ai Chi can be enjoyed by everyone.  Come join us and discover how to  "add years to your life and life to
    your years".                                



    Private Instruction
    Not sure you are comfortable in a class with others??  Need one on one attention due to recovery of an
    illness or injury??  Private instruction could be for you.  Class can be whatever length you need, from 15
    minutes to an hour.  Also a great option for children, especially those with ADHD.  Call us to discuss your
    needs.
